Chardonnay from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards of the Côte des Blancs. 100% Chardonnay from Cramant, Avize & Grauves Vinification: Malolactic fermentation Mise en cave June 12th 2014. 50% of reserve wines from the harvests of 2010, 2011 & 2012, late disgorgement, low dosage. This Brut is elegant, with a beautiful maturity of fruits and tension on the palate. Nose: aromas of citrus fruits, passion fruit, mango and papaya. Palate: balanced intensity, minerality and a balanced acidity delivering structure and elegance.
What does this wine tast like?
Frerejean
Champagne Frerejean Frères was founded by members of a long line of cannon-makers who supplied the French army when defending against the Prussians during the Napoleonic Wars. The founders began to make their Champagne for friends and family but once word started to spread, they decided to go into business in 2005. Today, the company produces roughly 100,000 bottles a year in about six styles, or cuvées (the exact number varies as some are limited productions that sell out).
