Dark red in colour with crimson hue. Upfront notes of primary fruits characteristic of dark plums, sweet berries fruits, cassis and herbal notes. The structure is intense, with great amount of refines tannin and fruitiness. The 20% new oak barely appear on the nose during this tasting, but rather act as a supporting role for the primary fruits flavor. Persistence and lengthy finish.

Grace Vineyard (怡园酒庄)
Grace Vineyard is located in Taigu country, 40km south of the provincial capital Tai Yuan, in Shanxi province. The continental climate on the loess plateau, with its distinctive seasons, dry, sandy loam soil, little rainfall, abundant sunshine and wide diurnal temperature range, offers a perfect zone for producing premium quality wines. Lee Yean Yean
Lee Yean Yean is the chief winemaker at Grace Vineyards, Shanxi Province in north western China. Originally from Malaysia, he started off in 2000 working in wine retail and the restaurant business before coming to Grace in 2006 and beginning his career as a cellar hand, then assistant winemaker. Lee also had a few spells at Curly Flat and Brown Brothers wineries in Victoria, Australia.
