Steven is a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) recognised by the Society of Wine Educators and a French Wine Scholar (FWS) certified by the Wine Scholar Guild. A native Malaysian from Petaling Jaya, Selangor, he was born in a humble family that placed great emphasis on trust and integrity. He began his journey in wine unintentionally during his studies in Hawaii, USA with a bottle of 2000 Ruffino Chianti Classico, a very humble wine but powerful enough to leave a lasting impression.
Prior to his current capacity, Steven has worked in Vinum Fine Wines and British wine and spirits merchant Berry Bros. & Rudd (BBR). Steven co-owned Iconic Wines Singapore and has been the Director of Sales and Marketing since 2016, overseeing the market of Singapore, Malaysia, Bangkok and Spain. In 2022, Steven started a new journey with Intoxigate Pte Ltd in Singapore.
Steven is a lifelong learner of wine who enjoys the culture, history and the people revolving around wines. He believes there’s no best wine in the world and every wine is a genuine effort by a team of dedicated people.
