Wai Xin is a wine communicator recognised by the Society of Wine Educators as Certified Wine Educator (CWE), and one of the 15 in the world certified by the Vinitaly International Academy (VIA) as Italian Wine Expert. As well as achieving The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Advanced Level with Merit and Italian Wine Scholar (IWS) from the Wine Scholar Guild with Highest Honors, Wai Xin also completed the Wine Show Judging Course with The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI).
Besides having presented at masterclasses for the Collisioni Progetto Vino and the Valpolicella Consortium in Singapore, Wai Xin also led a judging panel at the Vinitaly 5StarWines - the Book (2018 edition) as a panel chairperson. In 2020, he was a panel member for the new vintage release of the 2016 Barolo in New York. His articles were previously published on Spirito diVino Asia, Appetite, Epicure, and The Business Times. Wai Xin is recently authorized as a provider for the IWS program in Singapore.
