Casanova di Neri, Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova

Located in Montalcino, Tuscany, Casanova di Neri is famous for its Brunello di Montalcino wines, but makes a range of other wines, including a premium Cabernet Sauvignon and an interesting blend of Vermentino and Grechetto. Founded in 1971 by Giovanni Neri the estate is still family-owned. There are 63 hectares (155 acres) of vines on the property, planted on soils made up of alluvial stone, degraded rock, iron and magnesium. The vineyards are mainly planted to Sangiovese, and provide grapes for three single- vineyard wines, two standard Brunellos and a Rosso di Montalcino.
