Simply loved the aromatics of this wine, its elegant rusticity, the spicy and floral aromas—very expressive and harmonious. It makes you salivate with the effervescent minerality. It's light on its feet and intense at the same time. This feels very different from the Caíño from Rías Baixas, reflecting different soils and climate. Superb!

Algueira
Algueira is a family-owned business that started in 1980 with Fernando and his wife, Ana. They started with just a few vineyards, a small winery and in 1998 created the brand ‘Algueira.’ The vineyards are in the mountains on the banks of the river Sil. We work on teracces built on slopes of up to 75 degrees of inclination and in over a 40 year period they have grown to become an award-winning intentional winery that has helped to put Ribera Sacra on the map in both the wine industry and the wine-tourist industry of Spain.
