Traditionally known for its botrytised sweet wines, Tokaji wines were a status symbol highly favoured by royal courts and aristocracy in the 18th and 19th century. In recent times, dry wine production has significantly increased with a focus on expressing Tokaj's diverse volcanic terroir and unique microclimate.
