The Original Reposado. Tequila Herradura introduced the world to Reposado in 1974 and has been setting the standard ever since. Aged 9 months longer than industry standards, Reposado has a rich amber color with notes of cooked agave, vanilla and butter. This additional time spent resting in charred American White Oak barrels creates a smooth, sweet finish with a slight taste of spice. Herradura
Born in 1870, Casa Herradura, located at Hacienda San Jose del Refugio, is the last tequila-producing Hacienda on the planet. Within its ancient walls, we craft and estate-bottle some of the finest tequilas anyone has ever tasted. It is here that we invented the first reposado and extra añejo, forever changing the world of tequila. And it is here, from the small town of Amatitàn in the heart of Mexico’s tequila region, that we continue to set the standard for what’s to come. With a history as rich as the country itself, Casa Herradura, located at Hacienda San Jose del Refugio – the last tequila-producing Hacienda on the planet – is nothing short of a national treasure. We are very proud to be the only tequila producer to receive the 2015 Environmental Excellence Award from Mexico’s Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA).
