Among his multiple international credentials, Lim is a Certified Wine Educator (CWE) certified by the Society of Wine Educator, and a French Wine Scholar (FWS) certified by Wine Scholar Guild.
Lim has been providing professional wine service in Singapore and regional markets since 2005. Lim also helms his eponymous wine school to coach and certify several hundreds of professionals and enthusiasts in Singapore and South-East Asia through certified wine courses, such as the French Wine Scholar program.
Despite his wide exposure to wine trade since early-1990s, Lim continues to learn through wine certification programs, and hone his tasting skills through international wine judging opportunities, including the Decanter Asia Wine Awards.
Lim was also a DUX of the Advanced Wine Assessment Course (AWAC) offered by Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) in 2014. He was also recognised by the Singapore Wine and Food & Beverage industries as a Sommelier Mentor of the Year in 2017 and awarded the Working Peoples’ Advocate 2017 by Singapore’s National Trades Union Congress for his efforts to increase professionalism.
In January 2018, the Wine Scholar Guild awarded him Best Instructor, French Wine Scholar Program 2017.
