Ca N'Estruc
The Ca N’Estruc Estate - linked to the world of wine since 1548 - is located on the slopes of the mountain of Montserrat, in the municipality of Esparreguera (Barcelona). Siscu Martí cultivates the 22 hectares in property, located at an altitude of 165 metres planted with the white varieties Chardonnay, White Grenache and Muscat; and the Syrah, Petit Verdot, Garnacha Tinta and Tannat. The Estate has a specific microclimate, flush with the cold north winds, with cool summers and mild winters. The average annual temperature is 14.1ºC. The plantations are perfectly oriented to optimize the effect of the sun. The new winery - finished in the summer of 2011 - has a new underground processing plant with stainless steel tanks of different capacities (2,500, 2,700, 5,000, 10,000 and 20,000 litres), to vinify the grapes of the different vineyards, classified according to age and variety, and elaborate them separately until the moment of makeing the final coupages. The barrel park has 250 French and American oak barrels from different coopers - Dargaud & Jeagle, Demptos, Boutes, Nadalie… - with capacities of 225, 300 and 500 litres and different degrees of toasting. The winery makes L’Equilibrista white and red, Idoia white and red; and a line of young white, rosé and red wines under the name Ca N’Estruc.
