Bright, vivid ruby red color. On the nose, it has enormous complexity, with aromas of cherries, violets, gunpowder, smoked foods, plums, incense, raspberry, blackberry and wood, all assembled together with hints of minerals. It changes with every swirl of the glass, always delighting. On the palate, it’s silky and very fresh, easy drinking, with pleasant, polished tannins. It caresses the mouth and leaves you with an intense and explosive memory as well as a subtle and elegant one. Long, velvety and full of freshness.
What does this wine tast like?
Canopy
Bodegas Canopy is located in the town of Camarena, 40 kilometers from Toledo and 70 kilometres from Madrid. It is in the different stages of the harvest when the winemakers actually start making the wines. The two selection processes happen once at the vineyard. Then when the grapes arrive at the winery, the grapes are crushed in small 1,500 litre vats to extract all the aromas and nuances in the gentlest way possible. This is the origin of Canopy wines.
