Segura Viudas Garnatxa

Located outside Barcelona Spain, in the sunny vineyards of the ancient wine region of Penedes, the Estate of Can Esbert de Raim was bought by the Segura brothers in the 1950s. The Segura brothers began marketing their cava in 1969 where they launched the iconic Segura Viudas Heredad premium cava. Segura Viudas is one of the most awarded brands in wine and cava tasting, nationally and internationally.

Miquel spent his youth amongst the vineyards. His early experiences with the vines were by his father’s side, farming the grapes that, once harvested, he and other neighbourhood children would stomp barefoot each year. These defining experiences led Miquel to continue his wine education. Segura Viudas produces artisanal cava wines using the ‘traditional method’ process. The double fermentation process has been used for centuries to make sparkling wines, producing the highest quality wines with multiple layers of complexity, fruit and more refined bubbles.
