Jean-Luc Colombo is one of France's most talented and creative winemakers, and has been crafting first-class wines since the early 1980s and bringing international attention back to Cornas. His philosphy is to produce fruit forward and elegant wines, pure in flavor and expressive of their terroir. And he is successful today not just as a winemaker, but as a negotiant (Vins Jean-Luc Colombo) and as a consultant winemaker. Besides his pride in Cornas, he produces a small collection in both Northern & Southern Rhone and a beautiful Rose from Provence. We were invited to their Automnales event in 2015 where top chefs like Alexandre Verguet from Brasserie Paul Bocuse and Benjamin Patissier from La Pyramide graced the occasion. Exquisite and delicate cuisine paired with the complete portfolio of Jean-Luc Colombo. The winery was full of life and vigor, displayed in the most elegant manner, just like his wines. Today, Jean-Luc Colombo wines are served on the best tables around the world, the wines have received numerous accolades by Decanter, Wine Spectator, Bettane et Dessauve. Their only daughter, Laure, joined the family domaine in 2010. Viticulturist, Oenologst, and world traveler, she is full of life, and brings with her fresh energy and sensitivity to the family estate.
